Spring & Fall Mini Sessions Across the Bay Area

Bay Area mini sessions are something I’ve been offering for over 10 years to families throughout San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley, San Jose, Palo Alto, Marin County, and Yosemite. Each spring and fall, I photograph dozens of families in thoughtfully planned outdoor locations across the Bay Area, making these seasonal sessions one of the most popular offerings of my year.

Mini sessions are 20-minute, pre-scheduled sessions held on select dates and locations. They’re perfect for updated family photos, holiday cards, pregnancy announcements, engagements, or simply documenting this season of your life in a relaxed, true-to-life style.

Because these sessions are limited and only offered twice per year, dates tend to book quickly.

When Are Mini Sessions Available?

Mini sessions are only offered during my spring and fall seasons and cannot be booked outside of the dates and locations listed. Because these are scheduled as back-to-back sessions on pre-selected days, custom mini sessions are not available.

If you need a different date, location, or more flexibility, a full family session would be the appropriate option.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No. HOWEVER, more people does NOT equal more photos. A larger group means less time for various groupings. Add active children or pets into mix and it can get a bit stressful on your end. If your group includes 7+ people, I can’t guarantee to deliver 25 ‘good’ photos. If you’re ok with that, then book away.

  • All mini sessions are non-refundable (no exceptions). You may reschedule to an available mini session within the current fall season by emailing Rosa at hello@rosadelgado.com.

    If you request to reschedule 2 weeks or less before your original booked date, a $50 fee will apply. If your original date is filled by someone else, the rescheduling fee will be  refunded.

  • Sessions will be held rain or shine (no exceptions). If it pours rain, sessions will be moved to an alternative outdoor location with cover.

    Multiple families are scheduled during each session. Due to the nature of mini sessions, it’s challenging to accommodate individual needs. Therefore, mini sessions will not be postponed if it rains. Rosa will make final decision.

  • Anything below AQI 155 will continue in it’s original location. Anything above AQI 155 will be reconsidered and may be moved into my studio located in Benicia, CA.

    Again, because multiple families are scheduled for each location, I cannot make individual accommodations.

  • About 10-14 days after your session, you'll receive a gallery with about 35+ edited photos to choose your final 25 photos. Final photos will be emailed  after confirming your final selections.

  • Yes. For an additional fee, you can purchase extras or all photos. You can pay ahead at the time when booking or wait until after seeing your photos.

  • The only other option is to schedule a regular session. Regular sessions are 45 minutes, include 50+ photos, your location and time of choice, and online download of photos. For details and availability, email Rosa at hello@rosadelgado.com.

  • The only location where dogs are not allowed is Los Altos and Stanford. There are no exceptions on this at all.

    All other locations allow dogs on a leash.
